About the site

This is my new site. It used to be called 'Sloatworks' but I decided to change it because I hated telling people where the name came from. Sloatworks will still be what I publish and copyright stuff under, however.

This version of the site was created using CakePHP, and although you can't see them, graphics for the site administration are from the Tango Desktop Project.

All software on this site is published under the 3-clause BSD license. It used to be an MIT-style, but I have decided to change it.

About myself

My name is Matt Schmidt. I'm 25 and I've lived in Delaware my whole life. I've been programming since I was about 9. I started on a Apple //e using LogoWriter and also with BASIC on a Tandy TRS-80 Color Computer 2. I have an Associates Degree from Delaware Technical and Community College and I am currently employed as a PHP Web Developer.

I don't really like to talk about myself, so I'll leave it at that.
